ok – sorry about the delay – busy day
so I did
Aerial out from box
auto retune – no channels found
Aerial back into box
Manual tune in this order
channel
21 strength 94 Quality 100 DVB-T
44 STR 93 QUAL 100 DVB-T
29 STR 95 QUAL 56 DVB-T
37 STR 92 QUAL 62 DVB-T
31 STR 94 QUAL 54 DVB-T
then
47 STR 92 QUAL 100 DVB-T2
55 STR 50 QUAL 100 DVB-T2
then
22 STR 99 QUAL 100 DVB-T
They all look excellent.
Do you still get picture breakup on live TV and recordings ?
I take it you saved the results after scanning each mux in turn ?
What, even UHF channels 29, 37 and 31 with mid range quality figures!

Which is why I asked if there is still breakup. If so a attenuator is the next step and to ask if the OP has a amplifier or a 4G filter in the system somewhere.

Have you got a aerial amplifier somewhere. Possibly in the loft ? Can you post a photograph of your aerial ?

Inactivejust to finish off answering all the above questions
“They all look excellent.

break up on a few channels – see above post
“What, even UHF channels 29, 37 and 31 with mid range quality figures!!
these are the figures i recorded after making the suggested changes
“Which is why I asked if there is still breakup. If so a attenuator is the next step and to ask if the OP has a amplifier or a 4G filter in the system somewhere”
i do have an booster box for the aerial – yes. I have it because I have two aerials , one to the Humax the other to the TV as we kept getting the humax go down on us , so we could easily switch to the Tv to carry watching while the humax took 20 mins to reboot etc.

ParticipantYou cannot connect two aerials together without creating all sorts of issues.
Replace the amplifier with a passive splitter and feed both TV’s from the same aerial

ParticipantIncidentally your main issue looks to be the ARqB mux on Channel 31. Not surprised you have issues to connect two aerials together is very tricky to avoid one interfering with the other,

InactiveStevehasahumax..
If you are saying (as it seems) that you actually have two aerials feeding into one amplifier, as Graham says, there lies your problem.
If you are saying that you have two aerials with two separate coax feeds and one goes into your television and the other goes into the Humax, that is a different thing.
If, by two aerials, you mean that you have one aerial into the amplifier and two cables coming out (1 to the Humax and 1 to the TV) again, that’s different.
You need to provide clarification of this and your nearest postcode (use a local shop if you don’t want to post your actual postcode).
If you really do have two aerials going into the amplifier, I am wondering who did this and how, because it shows a very poor understanding of how to set up things (apologies if it is yourself) and

Not surprised that the OP had issues with the 5000T. Why not run it alongside the Aura. I have both connected to the same Aerial and the Aura loop out even works with no power to the box. OP would need to change the code set used by the 5000T to a setting other than 1. The Aura remote uses code set 1.
I imagine auto tuning will work just fine on both boxes once the bodge is removed.

InactiveApologies – my terminology may have been confusing.
i have one aerial cable coming out of the wall. it goes into a 4 room signal booster. Before i started doing the manual work as described above, i took the cable from the booster to the TV out so it only has the cable from the signal booster to the box now..

Inactivehave also binned the old Humax as it was so poor at doing anything,…

InactiveHave you tried bypassing the booster?
December 9, 2020 at 2:28 pm #100046Anonymous
Inactivei have now disconnected the booster box and only have the aerial cable from the wall going straight into the back of the Aura. Same as previous post – some channels not available including 261 racing tv which has always worked and bbc HD on 106.

Please could you post signal strength and quality figures without the booster?
