InactiveWho suckered you into buying “Very expensive gold plated, shielded cables”? 😆
Sounds like Currys/PC World?

InactiveI have had no real problems with my Aura – a lot better than my FVP-4000T but I do have 2 issues:
Why is the standard Android ‘Video’ App missing – my Sony Android TV has it; I had to download VLC as an alternative to allow me to play media from other networked devices.
Does the device provide a DLNA Server to allow playback of recordings on other devices (FVP-4000T, Humax H3 and a Windows Tablet)? Do I need to download an App? The FVP-4000T supports this (as did the Fox T2 before it) and I have a Humax H3 attached to an old TV which can play recordings from the FVP-4000T but can’t see the Aura?

The aura does not have a DLNA server

InactiveDLNA server – could they put it on a software update or is it a hardware issue?

UPDATE :
Hard Power Off of the HUMAX seems to have cured the issue, all I have to do now is reload apps on the TV and reset the sound/video etc.
Should have tried the good-old “three finger salute” first of all, shouldn’t I?
Thanks for the prompt responses and ideas. Hope this helps others if they get stuck.
Power cycling clears a lot of Aura hicups.

InactiveI see that Humax have included an app, HAMS, for support to look at the box remotely if and when you open a fault ticket with them. Well that’s something proactive I suppose.

InactiveI see that my wish to remote view recorded programs is available in its infancy.
Still needs a lot of work and ought to have the option to be password protected. Hopefully when the mobile and PC based apps are available, a full GUI will be there to use.

So I now appear to have another issue, when I skip forward on an ad hoc basis it skips backwards instead, has any one else experienced this?
Which buttons are you using for Skip ?
What settings have you got for forward and reverse skip ?
I am using the arrow right button pressed twice to skip, I have it on 270sec to skip forward.

The forward skip button is just to the right of OK and reverse to the left. Set the forward skip to 2 mins and reverse 7 seconds. Most ads are multiples of 2mins. two presses and may be one back if you overshoot.

There isn’t an option for 270 seconds?
I have mine set to 2 minutes forward and 15 seconds backwards.

InactiveHow do you set individual times though.. On mine you can only set the skip/replay time to the same figure. No option to assign different times to each of them?
