    Thanks again

For your help, yes our transmitter is Sutton Coldfield

Not quite sure what ARQ B means but Think it’s my Aerial so I’m trying to get a better signal by moving the Aerial slightly wile looking at the quality on the meter an the channels that pixelated, the same channels work on the tv through the same Aerial .

ARQ B is one of the multiplexes that your transmitter is broadcasting channels on.

Each multiplex (mux) broadcast several TV channels and or radio channels together.

You can click on this link,

    https://www.freeview.co.uk/corporate/detailed-transmitter-information

Enter your postcode and house number and this will show you the available transmitters

    broadcasting to your area.

From the table you will see firstly the ‘most likely transmitter for you.

(Unless you are like me and because of the way my house is situated I receive better reception from

a transmitter further away than the ‘most likely)

Further tables below show the transmitter information with the multiplexes/ channel numbers it broadcasts,

under the N in a black circle.

You can then manually search the channels on your Aura inputting each mux/ channel number in turn.

Remember to set Transmission to DVB-T for SD channels.

For the HD mux BBC B you will need to change Transmission to DVB-T2.

From your post it sounds like you are using an indoor aerial doe it have a built in amplifier?

All working great now really appreciate all of your help my Aerial is outside on the same bracket as my satellite dish .only slight pixilation on one or 2 channels but not channels I watch so all good ,I seem to have 100 strength but the quality goes from 53% to 100% perhaps it needs better coaxial cable.

You should be aware that in some cases 100% signal strength might overload the tuners and cause the breakup you are experiencing although the Aura is less prone to this than earlier Humax boxes which had tuners designed for pre DSO signal strengths. Roughly, how far are you from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter?

Sutton Coldfield is roughly 10 miles from our house

It’s just there’s no pixelation on all channels on our freeview LG TV

But I’m enjoying my Humax Aura, just a few of the recordings pixelating when I have watched them back but I’m still pleased with it ,Thank you so much for all your help.

    Please would you clarify?

E.g. When you say “quality goes from 53% to 100%” are you saying that without any adjustments you can sometimes see the quality reading going up and down while you look at it and keep the Humax on the same channel without adjusting the aerial?

I have moved the aerial slightly to get a better strength and quality on all channels and now got the best overall, I think I have found the problem as its not always we have pixelating on channels , we have cctv round the back of our house and the time it happened a large pigeon was roosting on the Arial , Mystery solved ,

You are so helpful, Thanks Again for all your help .

You are so helpful, Thanks Again for all your help .

You didn’t include a quote in your reply. That implies that your thanks are to the most recent previous poster.

I suspect that your thanks where meant to be for “Martin Liddle”.
