InactiveI have messed around with many settings over the years. You could try enabling FTP.

InactiveGood afternoon, following a very eventful day with Aura I am no further forward
I have reset the box at least six times and had various issues therefore the reboots
I’ve had no ITV X and had to reboot to get it then no My5 and again reboot, these issues weren’t the reason for reboot but are now sorted. While resetting I noticed the SKY icon which I found strange to say the least but following reset it vanished, on one occasion the SKY logo was showing on the start up screen where HUMAX appears. I have two questions that I would appreciate some feedback, firstly my main TV and the TV in the kitchen are connected to the router by Ethernet, I did wonder if the casting issue had something to do with that but I have tried connecting my iPhone plus the two TV’s to both 2.4 & 5 WiFi but it made no difference the the screen notifications. I am still getting either DLNA not ticked or all devices must be connected to the same WiFi. Secondly when casting is this done in conjunction with ApowerMirror or separate to that APP? Many thanks for reading

InactiveThere have been a couple of threads where other devices on the network prevented DLNA/FTP from working on the Aura:

InactiveThe more I read the more confusing it becomes, the only fact I can take away from all this is the casting feature of the Aura is a sales con as it obviously doesn’t work and if anyone can make ir work they have to be a serious technician and not a geriatric technophobe like me.

InactiveAre you sure that your TV supports Chromecast (does it have Chromecast Built-In?). Can you cast from BBC iPlayer on your phone or tablet to the TV?

InactiveHi, yes my Windows 11 laptop casts BBC iPlayer screen or tab to both TV without any issues
Cheers for the input

InactiveGood evening
I’m not sure what to think about the latest information I have received from Humax about my issue of casting from the Aura box to another TV on the same WiFi.
After nearly a month of numerous questioning emails and several live chats, an exchanged box plus the comments on this forum Humax have told me that the App does not cast live or recorded programs from its Aura app. The app shows the cast icon and the app also shows casting devices connected but according to the latest from Humax Support the app can only cast to the connected Tv and is not designed to cast to another device.
I personally feel this is not what is advertised nor what I think it can do.
Can anyone out there either confirm or deny that the Aura box can or can’t cast a live or recorded program to a smart tv connected to the same home WiFi.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could put it to the test and advise
Regards and many thanks
Geoff
