Tip from Barry – I am happy with the on screen answers to questions.
Device Preferences – Accessibility – Talkback.
Horses for courses I suppose. Example – I hate the none speaking weather forecast plastered on the screen. I much prefer “Hey Google, what’s the weather for tomorrow” and I receive it via the spoken word.

With the aura, there is no need to say “Hey Google”.

Maybe not, but Google isn’t going to answer me. It’s fortunate I have the proper Google Assistant on the LG plus I have the Amazon Echo, so not the end of the world. I just think Humax has possibly missed a trick. Other than that I’m really pleased with the Aura.

I was somewhat put off by the incredibly annoying reference.

InactiveI tried the Talkback option. You weren’t kidding when you said it was blooming annoying and that’s after I disabled most options.

InactiveIn my experience the Google voice response is quite random, sometimes it does and at othertimes it does not.

InactiveI agree with the initial statement, yes very dumb. When I ask Google Assistant to change channel on Aura it always responds with ‘Playing <selected channel> on utube’ then plays some rubbish not related I have tried to ask for a program no. with same result. I have disabled both utube and utube music apps and the same result. I understood when I purchased the Aura I would have control through Google Assistant but other than switching it on and off it doesn’t work. Yes quite dumb!
