another one with the same issue here! Froze last night, no recordings on restart and no HDD visible. Haven’t had any error messages; spoke to Humax this morning who told me to reset to factory defaults… made no difference. Pfffffftt….. don’t make me go back to Sky, please!!!!
Mate have a look on ebay for “Zgemma Star 2S Twin Tuner” and get one with a 6 or 12 month gift.
I wish i did it years ago now.

Well ive had a openbox for over 1 month now and ive go a Zgemma Star 2S Twin Tuner just over 1 week ago and its the best move I ever did.
im so impressed with them little boxes and even if it last 12 months its still only 10% of what sky would charge. its a no brainer.
had a quick look, but doesn’t look like it records?

yes they do and can record 2 channels at once. all you need to do is add a hard drive to the USB. can also watch sky channels on it and thats the best part about it.

First of all yes im aware this is for humax pvr forum, i found it when my humax stopped seeing the hard drive like so so many others, But i was replying to “comrademureth” regarding his comment of going back to sky. so why the hell are you being so sarcastic with your replys?
secondly these humax boxes last less than a lot of chinese devices so hold back on them remarks pal.

Hmm! you come to a Humax forum but end up discussing non Humax products with recommendations to buy then talk about accessing Sky channels – I assume you mean non-subscription Sky channels. When I point out that this is a Humax forum you consider I have an attitude problem – priceless. 😯

Still no word from Humax; have emailed them and phoned now with no resolution. Downloaded the App this morning and THAT can see all my recordings, so why the **** can’t the box itself???!!!
Same issue today on a 21/4 year old box. Player won’t work either on the machine now
My player’s still working, and I can see all recording history on the android app – just can’t play them. My box is about the same age as yours – purchased Oct 2013, just out of guarantee.
Unless this is sorted very quickly, the chances of my ever buying another Humax product are virtually zero

Isn’t the app looking at the cloud copy of the list of recordings, rather than the actual box?
