Does going into non freesat mode now keep all your planned recordings? Anyone tested this yet?
Yes all OK

InactiveMine isn’t starting up properly. I get the splashscreen, it goes dark, I hear the HDD whirring, after a few mins it powers off/on again, splashscreen and the TV channel appears.
Box automatically upgraded to .37 and this happens on the same day.

I’ve also now found that ever since the update I can’t hear anything! Thought it was my ARCAM amp at first but that’s fine. My HUMAX is connected via the optical digital connection to my amp. I’ve reverted to using stereo jacks but it made no difference. .
I also found is issue. Volume is fine when watching iplayer (box volume level makes no difference to output). But to get a decent volume on recorded or live programmers, box volume needs to be on maximum.
Is this a known issue with the update?
Bytrue fact that only one other person has mentioned this, I am guessing that it is not an issue for everyone, but definatly seems to be an issue.
FYI, I did manually apply the bug fix a couple of weeks ago to sort out the first recording of the day issue

InactiveOnanov, I’m seeing the same issue with the volume.

InactiveWould like to add my experiences from yesterday’s update.
Customers box updated itself Automatically yesterday with 00.37
Ended up with failed recordings during the day.
Same issue as a previous poster, Disk showing no space left
HDD menu showing 0.00gb for all.
Tried Cleanup, no difference
Tried Reset, No difference
Current recordings are playable!
Had to Format to cure issue, Customer lost all recording as a result!
Buffer Underrun still showing.
Customer been on a promise of Update for recording issues for a while, Now have to refund customer, as not happy since purchase.
No reply or response from Hummy UK !

Onanov, I’m seeing the same issue with the volume.
Onanov/ Chistery,
Have you tried any HD channels? With our 1000s the remote volume control affects ONLY the SD channels now, whereas prior to update the remote would not affect volume on ANY channel – really had me worried at first, couldn’t hear a thing on SD channels because we have never had to use the remote for volume control before and we had it set at minimum! Our 1000s is optically connected to our amp, if that makes a difference.

InactiveThe volume on HD channels or iplayer is now really loud.
My box is connected to my amp via an optical cable too.

InactiveSo far so good. Updated and YouTube is activated. YouTube performance is excellent and I was able to pair my Android phone and play back video from the phone on the TV. Hard to tell if startup is any faster. I did not notice a difference.

I tried switching back and forth from YouTube, going to standby and back, playing a few recordings. All without a hitch, so fingers crossed.

Hi All,
Seems the issue is still open – just been speaking to Humax who confirm that they have had a few calls since the release saying that no audio via the AV amp – Humax are looking into this and will keep us posted – as soon as we have some positive news we’ll get back to you.
Cheers,
Aubrey

That makes sence, I couldnt work out why sometimes it was OK and sometimes not. Seemed a bit random, but the HD/SD thing could explain it. I will check it out this evening.
Thanks

InactiveBut with the Volume on the Humax at max the SD sound is ok, but HD is too loud. Turn it down on the amp and then you can’t hear SD.
At least before I could get it to be about the same on both.

InactiveI am not sure whether my issue is related but since this afternoon the box won’t boot anymore. It just says “Starting” on the front and the Humax/Freesat splash screen appears and that is that. Is there a way to recover from this?

InactiveTry removing the power for 60 secs.
