Yes I can confirm that this has just started happening in the last week. The loading message used to popup occasionally but now it is constantly on the screen. Also a lot of videos are not playing anymore too.
Very frustrating! If I switch to my Playstation and use YouTube on their it all works perfectly, so it’s hard to deduce what is causing the problem.
Yeah I’ve noticed ‘loading’ has been flashing much more frequent than it used to.
I guess we’ve just got to wait for the next update, but I’m wondering if this is something YouTube/Google can fix at their end as they do seem to be able to change how it works remotely as they did recently with the function buttons.
It would be nice if someone from the Freesat team could let us know whether or not YouTube/Google are aware of this issue or not and is there an impending fix or not.
Freesat have just confirmed that YouTube are investigating the ‘Loading’ issue.
And now YouTube is not playing any videos at all now
There's now an on screen message when you open the app warning of disruption.

Clips are generally playing for me but I get the constant loading banner in the middle of the screen which is most annoying. 😯
I can load YouTube. Select a video, it loads the main picture then I just get ‘Playback Error’ This video is currently unavailable. Back to guide next video. Does this on everything.
Can’t login. And Trend vids are not renewing for a week now.
I cant even get YouTube – I click on the YouTube icon and it says ‘Being directed to Youtube.com’ then the screen is just a white out.
Any update/advice welcome.
