InactiveThanks Repassac. Re-booted and now they are all back! – Strange.

InactiveSame problem as weebster above. Following overnight update all my recordings and planned recordings disappeared and the on demand service threw up an error message about a bad link.
A re-start appears to have solved these.

InactiveGood Day All.
Has anyone found a positive change to the performance of their HDR1000S since the installation of UKSFAA 1.00.16?
As I have posted earlier I have found none and rather cuttingly described it as “Window dressing”.
In truth, I find it hard to believe that this is the case but can anyone offer any reason for 1.00.16., I have been mulling over to myself the possibility that it has changed the architecture of the firmware in readiness for the improvements proper hence is transparent to us all at the moment; speculation by someone that has no true knowledge of how Humax and Freesat/Freetime go about their business.
I must add that I’ve had no further negative aspects post 1.00.16 such as the loss of recordings either stored or proposed but I did a reboot which is a standard practice after any form of software update.

ModeratorPosts elsewhere have been highlighted to me re a file that has appeared on Humax beta download site.
This file is only a default file and not firmware, they are much larger in size.
Unless advised by Humax support – in which case you will be given upload instructions, ignore it.

Dose downloading beta software effect the warrantee if things go wrong?
Generally speaking you will only get access to beta software if you are a beta tester. Software from the Humax beta site is not what I would regard as beta software. If you look most of the software is labelled “Official Release”. If it is that software you are talking about, I think it is highly unlikely that it would affect a warranty claim.

InactiveHumax never releases software that it knows might risk a consumers unit, all software gets released after testing. The beta site was created to allow us to release software as soon as it finished internal testing but before it was available via OAD. You will note that the Humax website often links to the Beta site for the file downloads because it is faster downloading from the Google CDN than downloading from the Humax website.

The latest update ( that cures the first recording) is only available is on the beta page of Humax web site, marked beta , but available to all. As I not a beta tester but could down load it.
I have not installed on my box yet as I after paying nearly £300 do not wish void my warritee if things go wrong

ModeratorYou won’t void your warranty by uploadng the ‘beta’ version.
