InactiveI’m sorry the forum is going was thinking of purchasing the new Humax FHR-6000T out in December this year iv got the Humax aura and have tried everything to stop the pixelating on some channels it works ok when you reboot but the amount of times I have recorded programs only to find they are unwastable because of the pixelating
Humax have tried to help and always answer my emails but its out of guarantee now and I think it must be a faulty box but only just started to use it as we had virgin with a 360 box I was looking at the EE RTIW387 box but I think it only works with the BT router and you cannot add any apps just wish the Aura works properly as it cost £279 and was hoping to save on the virgins £50.00 a month for just the freeview channels.

Have you checked all the advice on this excellent website? Have you retuned, checked power lead not touching aerial coaxial cable? When you say pixilated what exactly do you mean? Do you mean wave of pixelation like very low signal picture break up? What is your signal strength? Or is it Ordinary low res pixelation; Some of the lesser SD channels are only low res 576i.
If the aura is and always was faulty then you have consumer rights Act 2015 for six years for it to be replaced. Richersounds do a six year guarantee.
Be aware new box will not necessarily help if you have signal problems. However you will have the streaming channels, if you are in a low signal area. But if you do get it it would be good to hear your opinion of it.
I agree that Virgin is not good value for money on it’s over broadband tv of the already free Freeview channels. I also found there broadband very expensive and Vodaphone broadband were cheaper and the broadband was more stable and had a lower ping.

InactiveI take it as there has been no comment that this site is still closing even with the arrival of the FHR-6000T/Aura EZ, or whatever it ends up being called, in (probably) December?

KeymasterThanks for asking but there has been no discussion about reversing the decision to close MyHumax.Org Forums.
The schedule is proceeding as outlined in the OP – in fact it is ahead of schedule.
We have implemented Members only mode – members have to login to read and post.

That’s an idea, but it might be more of a case of someone might have to take on the admin and hosting etc, if the current admin would be willing to hand it over.

InactiveNot surprised the forum is closing as the Aura box is only supported until 2027 so there is little point buying one.
The forum has been very useful over the years so thank you everyone for help offered.

I got this from Google:
The Humax Aura is expected to receive security updates until November 1, 2027. While the company’s website mentions that support for a new device would start from December 1, 2025, this should not be considered a definitive end date for support for the current Aura model, which was released in November 2020. After this date, there may not be new software releases, but the company has stated that it will continue to provide support after the warranty period, though the duration and specifics are unclear.
Security updates: Will be provided until November 1, 2027.
General support: The company has indicated it will continue to provide support after the warranty period has expired, but the duration is unspecified.

InactiveMight it be worth starting a SubReddit for Humax discussions? There is already one for Android TV, but might be worth having one specifically for Humax.

InactiveAs much as I think Reddit is an awful platform for its usability it may well be one way to get answers to questions that cannot be answered on here.
