If/when Freesat and Netflix ever do tie the knot, I assume Netflix will come to all models. But it does seem unlikely that it will ever come to any.
I assume you mean freetime models. I doubt that the Foxsat will receive any more updates unless of a remedial type.

ModeratorI’ll point out the errors in Humax Direct listing next time I speak with Humax Towers….
BTW – power indicator being on bottom of unit is next to useless!

Yup..
If you check out the image here:

you can see the blue glow beneath unit

InactiveI guess there’s probably going to be a similar faint blue glow emanating from the bottom of the new Freeview Play boxes, given that it looks like the same case.

You don’t think it might just be something an ad man has dreamed up to make it look more sophisticated and alluring for the brochure do you?
Otherwise what functionality does it serve being underneath?
:The power button appears to be on the top with the other controls so I think it’s just where the led emanates from.

InactiveMy box is 5ft off the ground on a clear glass shelf, if I replaced it with the 1100s I guess I would see any blue light emanating from underneath.

I wonder if it can compete with the 2000T whereby I have to differentiate different shades of red to ascertain if it is simply powered down or actually recording a programme.

Slightly different on this one:
Red – standby
Blue – on
Purple ‘ish’ – recording (standby and on)
So this time you have to differentiate between blue and purple ish, if you can see it at all that is of course
