Will someone please state whether a fix is being worked on to restore pause or rewind live tv. It was a major feature of why I purchased the machine in the first place.

Will someone please state whether a fix is being worked on to restore pause or rewind live tv. It was a major feature of why I purchased the machine in the first place.
As promised in previous post re live pause.
Humax Towers are looking into the issue, but no promises of a quick fix, if a fix can be engineered.
If you can live with problem hold fire on formatting for time being.

I too have been in touch with Humax support over the past few days about the RW & Pause problem. I couldn’t even get them to admit there is a problem that they can deal with.

Yep me too. Rang them. They advised they didn’t think it was a problem
What with the flashing banner saying ‘press ok for more information or to record’. It flashes. Very annoying.
I TOTALLY agree with you. PLease see my resent posts. Hopefully someone at Humax will take note. I have also complained to Freesat who make “decisions” regarding software spec. I am finding the darkened screen extremly frustrating & the only way to overdie is to KEEP pressing BACK once, why does not solve the problem totally & if you press back too long or twice it stops the playback of a recording. Roll on the next update fix. Should HOPEFULLY be along very shortly . . . I also agree on having options in menu + also being able to download previous versions of software.

Why would Humax do something like this without letting you control whether it happens or not,
Nothing to do with Humax, they’re just doing as they are told. If you have issue with it then you’ll need to take it up with Freesat.
Humax Towers aware of this one, maybe a fix in next update 😉

Got an issue in Non Freesat Mode on my Humax HDR-1000S only occurred since the software update the other week.
Changed to Non Freesat Mode was coming up with weak or no signal on STV & ITV HD frequency 10936 V 23000 2/3. So I went to search for this frequency again in user defined. It wouldn’t let me enter the symbol rate so I selected save now I just get a blank screen when user defined is selected.

Thanks, would be useful if you could choose whether to update the software to the latest version or not. The new software seems to create more issues than it resolves!

There was a thread running in the official Freesat forum on exactly that. They deleted it.

Freesat would appear to have missed some interesting points off the change list:
1. Recordings now have Today, Yesterday or date annotated to them, similar in timers list but no date.
and
2. You can have some fun now with youtube and a tablet, look carefully at the tablet youtube screen, in top right hand corner, for tv icon you can opt to play on your freetime box without pairing now, just select the appropriate device id (if you are lucky enough to have more then one freetime unit) Device id as appears in system info.
They also obmitted to tell us that they removed the ability to put in a user difine symbol rate when putting in non freesat channels. This was a very usefull feature and the only way you add channes like STV HD ECT , so why remove it.
Without this feature in makes the non freesat mode pritty usless for HD channels.
