InactiveI have two HB 1000S boxes
Today, I am unable to access On Demand via either box.
Both boxes continue to receive broadcasts via Freesat.
I have verified that both boxes are correctly connected to the internet.
Detailed description of issue:
Go to On Demand and select BBC iPlayer (or any other on demand)
On screen message: Checking internet Connection
Displays: ready to watch when you are… connect now
Select: connect now
Displays: internet connection…… connect automatically
Select: connect automatically
On screen message: connecting
Displays: Great you ‘re connected IP 192.168.1.245 Done
Select: Done
Return to menu and select on demand, select iPlayer or other on demand service
Displays: ready to watch when you are… connect now
Is there any advice anyone can offer?
TIA

InactiveI got exactly the same problem tonight. Tells us we aren’t connected, we connect, but then no way back to iplayer- sends you through the whole rigmarole again, and again.

InactiveWe’ve had exactly the same issue. On our Freesat box. Tried a restart. Still not able to access On Demand content.
We have a Humax Freeview box and that works fine.

InactiveI have the same issue since yesterday morning. Sent email to Humax support yesterday, after trying factory resets of box, recycling router and checking all connections. No reply yet and the problem persists

InactiveYep, same has happened to me on my 1100S. Wifi is saying connected, but on demand services are asking for a network connection. I hope Humax can solve this!

InactiveThis happened to me yesterday (7th sept 23).
Did some packet sniffing on the network and discovered it is a DNS issue.
The Humax host
Code:test.humaxtvportal.comis not resolving properly:
Code:test.humaxtvportal.com. 43200 IN CNAME humaxwebtest.cloudapp.net.
humaxwebtest.cloudapp.net. 10 IN A 0.0.0.0I have emailed uksupport@humax-digital.co.uk – not sure if we’ll get any response.
This is probably the app they use to test broadband speed.

InactiveI can confirm that the IP Address of humaxwebtest.cloudapp.net changed on the 7th Sep from: 52.169.105.9 to 0.0.0.0

InactiveThank you for finding the source of the problem. Is there any way we can change the IP address or do we have to wait for a patch to be produced by Humax. I don’t think they are supporting Freesat any more are thay?

InactiveI can confirm that the On Demand started working for me after adding the following manual host definition to my router:
Hostname: test.humaxtvportal.com
IP Address: 52.169.105.9
I cannot give specific advice on how you do that for each router model out there but if you are able to login to your router configuration then there should be a place to add a hostname/IP address. Just look for things like: Hostname, DNS, Name Resolution etc etc.
I will continue to try and contact Humax to see if they can fix their DNS.
