When you say ‘stuck’, what do you mean? Does the box power on, and do you see the usual Humax logo at the start?

…keeps stopping and recharging from 0% to 99% making the end of films so difficult…

Can you explain what you mean by that?

If you are getting your freeview signal from Winter Hill, then I know there is no problem with the transmitter because I get my freeview from there too.

Whats the signal strength and quality like on those channels?

It’s possble you might be getting interference from another source. When I had this problem, which especially affected my SD channels, I went to this web page: at800. If you contact the people there you can get a free filter to block out 4G frequency interference. I live quite a distance from Winter Hill, so they sent me two in case one wasn’t enough.

Hi and welcome to the forums. Can you start by telling us which Humax product you own?

If the unit has a separate audio out then the answer would be yes, but you would still need a third party amplifier to play the sound. The box itself won’t have internal speakers.

If you don’t retune you may lose some channels, but you shouldn’t lose all of them. You would need to manually retune to get all channels back again.

You could see what channels disappear after the 12th and take a view on whether you can live without them, or simply retune your box.

What transmitter do you receive your signals from?
