Is the link still active? I couldn’t download the GUI front end.
Apologises – I’ve edited the link in #4 so it now works.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum Paul

To copy direct from PC to FVP you would have to use something like FileZilla.
Host would be the IP address of your FVP.
Barry
ModeratorSame for me when I checked earlier which is why I questioned which search function.
Barry
ModeratorI’ll transfer posts 7,8,9 to new topic in FVP 4000T forum shortly, then edit this post with link to it.
Edit: Done see https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/transfer-mp3-files-from-win-10-pc-to-fvp-4000t#post-60521

I have noticed that the search function works for the more mainstream Chanel’s like BBC but does not seem to find programs on the upper channels like 60 or 66. I have checked going through the EPG for these channels. Is this an oversight?
Andy
General search function or genre search via EPG?
Barry
ModeratorJust checked a HB 1100S and present on that.

Well my doubts were proved right as this update doesn’t cure any of the major issues that really needed sorting.
iPlayer still crashed and rebooted the machine as well after the update, so no change there!

But hey, we got a nice new ‘Freeview’ logo in the TV guide!
Any particular programme…reason I ask is I have just streamed first 10 minutes of 5 different programmes listed in most popular without issue.

ModeratorWhat software version does your H3 have uploaded.
Just tried playing both SD and HD from FVP 4000T and skipping forward and back using the dedicated buttons or highlighting same symbols in timebar works without issue.
Barry
ModeratorThe above has been copied from Humax Website where software is available for usb update if users so desire:
1800T:
https://uk.humaxdigital.com/support/?product_id=1185&curr_page=sw_release
2000T:
https://uk.humaxdigital.com/support/?product_id=794&curr_page=sw_release
Note:
Also appears to be available via IP as both my 1800 and 2000T, on switch on, advised new software available, and updated.
Further Note:
From date of OTA (20 Sep 2017) Version 1.01.16 or older will not be able to access BBC iplayer.
Barry
ModeratorWhat you are witnessing is as it is, ie genre search only searches current Day.
Barry
ModeratorNo idea Martin…I suspect nothing of any significance as we have not been asked to test it.
Will try and find out tomorrow.
Barry
ModeratorMike – I would suggest a factory reset then, make a note of your timers.

A reset would be an option
Barry can you confirm that a reset on an FVP-4000T does not automatically delete recordings?
Martin
Factory reset on the FVP 4000T has 2 options:
1. Reset All Settings – All channels and schedules will be deleted. All user settings will be reset to factory settings.
2. Reset All Settings & Format HDD – All channels, schedules, recordings, and media files will be deleted. All user settings will be reset to factory settings.
Option 1 does not delete recordings I have used it many times on 2 units.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

‘1 minute or so before it responds…’ is not my experience of using units.
A reset would be an option, are you sure it is unit failing to respond and not the remote at fault…which remote do you have RM-L03 or L08?
Barry
ModeratorNo similar shortcut I’m afraid.
The best you can do is use skip function or press and hold the direction arrows.
