I don’t think the 5000T has a well documented HDD noise issue.
I am sat 2 metres from a unit which is currently recording and I can not hear it…the only time I have heard the HDD is when I had the lid off to take some pictures.

Currently working on my network so whilst in process checked wifi connection.
If all network services are turned off on unit – then in full standby wifi is not active.

Hi. I have curved lines in one half of my screen when turning over a channel which fades away a few seconds after the program comes on.
It also appears on the other side of the screen when there is writing in the top corner on a HD channel.
Is this normal?

More then likely a TV problem…can you provide TV details.
I have 4000/5000T connected to Sony TV and have not witnessed similar…I’ll connect one to an LG and test that later.

I would not swap my 5000 (or 4000T) for YouView even if offered all the tea in the proverbial

Set up an account 5000T now, same, numerous episodes (stranger things both seasons) streamed a couple on minutes on each, no issues, no buffering.

Not set up my account on the 5000T, but via 4000T just tried a couple of minutes from few episodes of Stranger Things Season 1 and 2 without issue.
I’ll set up on 5000T and report back.

Barry do you happen to know if there is some sort of diagnostic mode for the Netflix streaming app ?
The only tests I am aware of via Netflix app are in settings, help – this checks connections to Netflix servers and speed.

Skip forward and back has checked out OK, many thanks.
I did a further sense check on the resetting of Grid view to List last night, set it to Grid and used OK, this morning it had reverted to List confirming the issue.
Yep, confirmed, will highlight to those who need to know.
