ModeratorI don’t subscribe to the notion that it was hard to determine between the Orange/Red LED I certainly had no problems.
The original design spec called for the LED to be Orange (actually the colour is recorded as Amber in the spec) in standby no matter what state, active, recording, etc, and this is why it was changed.
The chances of getting it changed are slim to nought.

ModeratorNot strictly the answer are after as I use 500GB drives, but have had connected WD MyBook drives since the advent of the Foxsat with no problems encountered….
My HD T2 I have a Seagate Freeagent 1TB connected, and I find that noisy.

ModeratorHi
Try Menu, System, Network, Configure Ethernet – Select the option DHCP, highlight Apply and press OK, if all is working as it should then the 0’s should change to IP addresses.

HDR T2 remote response is far superior to the foxsat experience in my opinion.

ModeratorJohn – Sorry for the delay in response, but I have been trying to replicate without any success. I can stream between HDR’s, and to the HD for that matter, without being ‘cut off’.
Can only assume it is a network or router setting maybe??

ModeratorI fail to see the relevance of this thread, especially as you report the box is now ‘dead’ – if you want help then detail the issues you have, and members maybe able to help.
Certainly some of the symptoms you have briefly described in your opening post are known, and the advise offered by Humax would appear to be correct.

ModeratorI had a similar problem many many moons ago affecting numerous pieces of kit (not only Humax) it turned out to be my wireless router was causing it, relocated it, and fixed the issue.
Plenty of replacement remotes available via cough** ebay **cough
