ModeratorYes that is correct.
If you are available during the day on Tuesday I would try forcing the update either automatically or manually as per:

ModeratorNo problems with your loader or system id.
Unless you source cables before hand, try to update Tues after 10am.

ModeratorA number of reasons have been reported, some perculiar to other variants of the PVR.
1. The most obvious, the OTA is not currently being broadcast.
2. An error occured during the update process requiring a default reset, and try again.
3. Incorrect system id, although I have only seen this happen on a 9300.
4. Very old loader software.
Can you post, using the menu I stated before, the system id, and loader version numbers on your unit.

Software version can be checked via: Menu, System, Status.
If the unit locks up to quickly for you to check, try removing the aerial.

Never be afraid to ask a question, no matter how daft it might appear.

If no other bright ideas spring to mind then it looks like I’ll have to source a cable to connect to the PC. Is there a definitive article that tells me what to do by any chance?
Is the unit still within warranty? if so give Humax Support a call, otherwise let us know if you source cables.
Barry
ModeratorThe only other suggestion that comes to mind is overheating as the unit was OK for an hour, but it would appear you have a faulty unit, the supplier is responsible, and should exchange the unit for you.

ModeratorQuote:There have been a number of similar reports recently.Of the HDR T2 seizing up?
I have only noted a couple that reported ‘crashing’ but not locking/seizing up.
and for the OP
Welcome to our Forum

The OTA is not currently being transmitted, latest software version is 1.02.20 and can be checked (if you can gain control) via Menu, Settings, System, System Information.
If you have the latest, concur with Martin, if a factory reset fails to restore order, return for exchange.

Freeview has an 8 Day EPG.
On the HDR T2 to move forward a Day at a time use the |<< >>| keys, or you can move in 2 Hour jumps using << >>

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately removing the aerial and powering up didn’t make a difference. However, much pressing of the menu button on the control panel at power up has now changed the problem. It’s now frozen displaying PVR-9300T
There is one last thing you can try, and that is power on using the switch on the rear of the unit whilst pressing the standby button on the front – this used to work for certain lock outs on the 9200, not sure if it will help.
Do you have the necessary cables to upload software via PC?

My 9300t was working yesterday and briefly today, but it is now completely frozen in standby mode, so I can’t even access menus to verify what update I’m on or whetehr auto updates enabled. I’ve tried powering down and removing the aerial too, nut no luck….Any ideas?
Welcome to our Forum

Try powering it up without the aerial connected again that should give you access to the menu.

Have witnessed this once, and as you have found out a power cycle corrected the issue. What caused it I am not sure as my signal etc is fine.

Humax Support advised that there were a few remotes that shipped with ADB 1.0 using 3 digit codes.
http://myhumax.org/forum/topic/remote-control-confused-if-3-or-4-digit-codes?view=all#post-326
I will amend the FAQ to reflect this.
