Where did you guys see the link to 4.0.6 – will try and see if we can remove it.
I thought as much, no harm done.

I’m experiencing very similar problems with the exception that I’m trying to connect from a linux box.
had to reflash with 4.0.6 to be able to connect to web interface however still can’t see samba server.
Where can we get version 4.0.7 as 4.0.6 appears to be the most recent on the downloads page as far as I can see.

First thing to try is a default setings to try and fix the reset issue.
As for the missing recordings, a sign that the HDD file system is corrupted, you maybe able to recover them by removing the HDD from the unit, if you want to try this then post back, and one of our experts will no doubt help.

Quality flickering is obviously a problem, are other muxes OK?
Has the unit previously worked OK on same serial/transmitter?
The missing record menu could be due to a HDD connection or failing HDD.
What version of software do you have on unit?

Not possible I am afraid, your freeview recorder can only record from the internal tuners.
Not heard of anyone reporting issues with PSU capacitors on the HDR Fox T2 before.
Is the unit well ventilated is my first thought.
If Start and End padding are set to Off, then unit is using accurate record – subject to broadcaster of course.
