ModeratorNot much help but for info…
I use TP link TL-PA4022P powerline adaptors to connect 2 x Aura and have never had a problem from full or active standby.

ModeratorFurther update just received from Humax Towers:
We apologize for your inconvenience, and can confirm a software update is necessary to solve the situation.
In summary:
• Audio for Freeview HD channel is AAC (2.0 or 5.1)
• Aura provides PCM 5.1 for AAC multi-channel, if MS-12 transcoding option is off.
• But if a user uses ARC (not eARC) or S/PDIF, PCM multi-channel is not supported due to the limited bandwidth – Probably this is the case of Sonos Beam, and it is our mistake to miss it.
• As PCM 5.1 is in general better output, we’ll keep it as default operation, but will provide additional option to enable DD 5.1 transcoding,.
For the time being,
• Please use HDMI connection for Audio Devices instead of S/PDIF, whenever possible.
• Recommended connection : Aura – (HDMI) – AVR – (HDMI) – TV, if it is supported.

Thanks Barry.
How do I get it and is it Humax/Freesat/Google-approved?
Have sent you a PM (Private Message) any software I offer to provide is official, from Humax, with permission to distribute.

ModeratorHumax Towers have been reading this thread and asked me to post the following:
Freeview channels do not have Dolby Digital Audio – the actual transmission is AAC 5.1 if it is multi-channel.
(Most of contents have 2-channel AAC, but sometimes AAC 5.1 is transmitted. AAC is MPEG-4 audio, a different format from Dolby.)
In case of Android TV, AAC multi-channel audio will be decoded by STB, and send PCM output to audio device according to capability.
– If the receiver supports multi channels (usually AVR), then the output will be PCM 5.1
– If the receiver supports stereo (TV), the output will be PCM stereo.
– The legacy STBs will transcode AAC 5.1 to DD 5.1.
MS12 options should be off – and if everything is ok, correct format should be PCM 5.1, and Sonos App should display PCM 5.1 as well. (Not PCM 2.0 nor DD 5.1)
I searched with “Sonos PCM 5.1”, there was a software update from Sonos side recently : https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3521?language=en_US
11/10/2020 : “Sonos Arc now supports multi-channel LPCM surround sound through an eARC connection.”
So, I think Sonos Software update may help – and it would be interesting to see the result.

Ive been looking back to these posts from time to time. I have a (UK) HB-1100S that was hit with the Youtube Search and failing back button problem months ago.
Could someone please let me know, is this supposed to be fixed now or not?
I’ve emailed Humax support a few days ago but as of yet I’ve not had a reply.
I checked for updates on the HB-1100S but it says there are none, and the software on the support page of their site appears to be older than the version on my system which is – “UKSFAC 3.00.96” and the App – “web_20210210_00_RC01”
Is this supposed to be fixed now, or at least a fix available?
Thanks
Have you read This Post

Hi,
I’ve had a search but couldn’t find the answer.. I have the Aura and when I turn everything on tv, Aura etc I get a box top left that gives the resolution information. This I guess should disappear but I have to change channel for this to happen?
My only concern is its an OLED tv and trying to explain this to the rest of the family

Any ideas? have I missed a setting.
Welcome to our Forum

Agree with previous, is there an i button on the TV remote, try pressing it if so.
If not post your make/model of TV and someone may be able to help further.

Hi. I’m following this post because I have a HDR-1100S and have the same YT search issues that many on here are reporting. My system says it was last updated in August 2018, software version UKSFAA 3.00.96. It also says that there is no update available.
Is my software well out of date? Will the fix from Barry help me?
Thanks
Alex
