One more thing to try is:
1. Power off at rear
2. Hold in Standby button on front of unit
3. Power ON (with Standby button still held)
If that does not work, then it looks like you may have to go the PC route in which case read this FAQ:

I am guessing that the HDR 7500T is not responding to the remote.
Try changing the code it uses, see this FAQ:

FAQ in the T2 section has info on both 3 and 4 digit codes.
Agree with Graham almost certainly a rebadge, so it might be a matter of trying numerous manufacturers, Alba. Bush, Goodmans etc.

I think I have only ever seen this reported once, and Humax Support advised that it was not user repairable.
Contact support tomorrow, if within warranty they can offer a swap out or maybe a repair if you want to keep your recordings.

a4.39 is the loader version, the software version should be something like 1.00.26.
Check your PM’s (top right of forum) I have access to a small app that might help.

It is not an issue
When the update is complete ‘End’ will appear on the front display, “Download Successful will appear on the TV.
Unit has to be in standby overnight to automatically update via OTA when broadcast.
