So I need to leave on standby every night, on the off chance that there is an update? I don’t usually leave things on standby as it uses a lot of electricity.

You could keep an eye on the DTG website for 9200 updates, and only leave in standby when one is broadcast:

    Welcome to the Forum :-)

The OTA is not currently on air for some reason – I have made Humax Towers aware, and they are looking into it.

Leave it in standby overnight, it should then update automatically if software is being broadcast.

Latest version for the 9200 is 1.00.23

    Great news :-)

Ensure you have latest software, and if you should retune, no 800 channels.

Not meaning to step on Biggles toes.

We need to try and get your box defaulted, and as stated earlier I can supply a file for you to upload. I can send to the address you registered with, or if not PM me a different one.

    Cannot replicate.

Tried a few times using SD and HD channels. Pressing OK, letting the unit decide, with and without the screen displayed.

For a few pounds outlay I would get the cable.

As for opening the unit, if you do not feel confident enough, then no. Should you feel you want to attempt that, then please remember to disconnect from the mains supply before you do anything.

We can only suggest possible solutions to your problem born out of years of experience with the products, and dealings with support. No one can give an absolute guarantee that any of the suggested fixes will work.

Humax is a good brand, the market leader in many respects, but as with any piece of complex electronic equipment can fail.

Apologises been a bit busy with other stuff.

I still think it might be worth having a shot at loading a default file (this forces unit to reset to factory settings)

If your PC definitely has the socket you posted a link to then all you will need is a cable, the software update application I linked to earlier, and the file.

Cable will cost a few pounds from online stores such as:

Unless any of our other experienced members has an input.
