I wonder what you get if you install with a scart connection
Just carrying out a reset with only scart connected initially now.
Edit:
Set up with just scart connected, guide, menu’s, overlay all available, but
As soon as you connect HDMI, all above disappear from scart output.
Just want to expand on this:
As far as I am aware the unit should negotiate the output dependant on the resolution of the TV it is connected to. I cannot test this as mine are all 1080p
Anyone using it on 1080i set want to comment?

None until testing has been successfully completed
A new software version will be required after all. Testing currently in progress – however, software updates are in ‘lockdown’ for the duration of the olympics.
If you download the link as per Martins post, once you extract the files the update instructions are included, but basically yes to your ‘is this from a memory stick off my laptop then use the memory stick on the Humax equipment’
As a matter of interest is your unit a 500GB or 1TB version?
No option to change resolution, even in maintenance menu.
First half of boot cycle is reported as 720p by my TV then changes to 1080p.

Sounds terminal to me, from the error codes in our FAQ – flash memory problem, and the main board will need replacing.
If within warranty contact retailler or Humax Support.
