I sent instructions via PM on how to reset unit using hidden android recovery menu.
Barry, I suspect it is the sort of problem that will crop up multiple times; is it something that can be added to the FAQ or is the hidden Android recovery menu only for technical support?
I’m Hoping we might be able to add it as an FAQ soon.

Just got my Aura yesterday and its up and working. Yesterday, I installed an app from the Play Store (Notifications for Android TV) which basically made my Aura unusable and unwatchable for almost 24 hours.
How did you recover from that problem please?

It was very strange, can you confirm if is the tiny silver buttons that control volume. I did attempt to press them but nothing seemed to happen but as I said suddenly it was okay. The controls on my later model Humax box are obvious.
Yep, they are ‘touch’ controls.

Overall this is a good bit of kit – but my wish list would start as the biggest wish –
facility to re-order favourites and for favourites to pass through to up and down programme buttons. It’s one hell of a hike from local BBC One to BBC One HD.
Set up Favourites list, and select with red button in guide, only channels in the fav list will be displayed.
Quote:Program list facility – as was on the Fox. This could be on the OK button since pressing this during live TV gives the same information as the i buttonMight have the wrong idea as to what you are getting at, but pressing up will list channels.
Quote:Media server facility so that TV’s in other rooms can pick up recording made on the AuraBeing tested in current beta.
Quote:The voice command doesn’t seem to respond accurately, e.g. saying BBC One HD switches to the SD channel whilst saying ITV HD works fine as does ITV on its own which goes to the SD channel.Try saying the channel number.

ModeratorThe ethernet not connected message is believed to be a ‘bug’ in Android 9
If you leave connections as default, ie Wi-Fi on and always scanning then there should not be a problem, and unit will fall back to using Wi-Fi automatically if there is a problem with users ethernet.

Record icons working for me.
For info:
1. I deleted and rescheduled all timers after the first update 02/03/21.
2. On booting unit it takes a while for timers and icon in guide to update, have not timed it but at a guess 10 minutes, and my daily timers and weekly ones have updated to show next Thursdays episodes.
I set up the Sweeney series recording after the update, but the record icon has vanished until the Wednesday program. The Aura has been recording the cricket since 4am so the guide should have updated!
The BBC have started using a new series CRID when they change the series number. You may need to check the series version in the programme info.
Similar happened to me recording Bargain Hunt BBC1-HD and Doctors stopped recording due to same.
It is only the record icons that have disappeared (the scheduled recordings are still in the schedule and the app), and one has reappeared.
An update notification popped up just now, but I do not think that it updated properly.

Thanks for replying. Checked my settings, and I have turned that off; which explains the improvement since we first got the Aura. However, there is still a sync issue that definitely needs sorting. Checking customer reviews, it is one of the main complaints and reason for returns.
From Humax Towers:
1. Which Audio devices are in use (TV, AVR, Sound bar..) and what is the connection (Direct HDMI or ARC..).
2. Check your PM’s please.

Since the 2nd March update, I now have no audio when watching something on prime video.
Edit:some more info- the output from the Aura is going through an hdmi splitter which goes into both my TV and surround system. The audio to the surround is fine, the audio to the TV does not work, but only from the prime video app. Other audio is fine
From Humax Towers:
1. Can you check this again once you have the latest version as detailed in my last post.
2. If no change can you post what MS12 option is set, and which HDMI splitter is being used.
