I agree that it being faulty is the likely cause.

App should be available from app store later this week, the 6th was date mentioned to me a while back, but don’t hold me to that

Note: Utilising this function automatically sets the eco mode to low, see FAQ for power usage with this setting.

ModeratorIn an effort to help I ordered both the Edimax EW-7711UAN and the Edimax EW-7711UMn.
The UAN variant turned up today, and I can only confirm what others are stating in that it will not detect networks, even a guest one I set up on superhub with no security. Note only tested on and HDR T2, seems to be no point in trying the HDR 1000S.
Same results as weebster when trying on computers as well, so something has changed.
Have sent Edimax the results or all my tests and waiting to see if they respond.

You are obviously aware that you need the latest update. It is only available via the network connection.
Points:
2.1 Try pressing the play button during replay, this should bring up the timebar. The latest update enables playback from a particular point.
2.2 In the guide, the programme shouold be annotated with the red rec icon if a timer is set.
Skip function also added with latest update, hard coded to 1 minute forward and 15 seconds back.

ModeratorHumax dongle when I tested it on a 1000S worked fine.
I vaguely remember that another Humax product had difficulty connecting to wireless networks using low wifi channel numbers 1-4 iirc
Not sure it is the problem, but worth checking?
Note:
As we appear to have a few members having issues with Edimax dongles I have today placed an order for a Edimax EW-7711UAN so I can check this out for myself, and if needs be feedback to Humax Towers.

ModeratorYou have found the problem – ‘Freesat box is connected with one cable’
It should state two cables if all is well.
1. Carry out a factory reset to see if it then recognises two cables, if not then you will have to investigate cabling and connectors.

ModeratorNo problem when my unit goes into auto standby, which it does at least once a Day.
1. Can you check the software version on the units, it should be 1.00.06.
2. You could try a factory reset, see if that helps.
