ModeratorI’ll repeat this.
Only post in this thread if you are partaking in testing.
Barry
ModeratorHow long did you wait for unit to boot?
It takes some time to come out of deep standby.
(I’ll put a stopwatch on mine in a mo and edit this post)
Edit: It appears to have speeded up since the last time I checked

2 x tests – Just over a minute from pressing standby button to audio/video.
Barry
ModeratorUnfortunately the OP is stuck, if the unit cannot connect you cannot proceed. A ridiculous decision by Youview to implement this.
Barry
ModeratorBack button did not work in previous version of software so I am told.

Looks good. I like the ‘zapping’ order mod.
I don’t understand what the OK key behaviour affects.
Re the new option for OK key.
An example is the easiest way to explain.
OK set as default which is Play Content.
Go to FP screen, scroll down to Featured On Demand….picking the first option in my set up is Bloodlands.
Press OK and unit will switch to iplayer to play content.
If you change OK setting to Show info, then on pressing play you get info on the programme rather then iplayer opening.
This behaviour should be replicated all VoD playback i.e TopPicks, Backwards Guide, FP etc.

ModeratorYou have the latest public release software. Updates are delivered via your internet connection.
For info:
We originally had a very very small group (single figures) of dedicated Beta testers whose work was, and still is hidden. They get to preview a Beta, and if issues found fixes are applied before it is released to the wider group.
Humax asked if we could to extend the group, and carry out tests ‘in the open’ so that is where we are at today, and the reason for this and previous threads.

All of the main catch-up apps are still working for me via apps button, android home screen, and backwards EPG.
Ditto
Barry
ModeratorTo be clear…
This update is not the cause of catch up player problems.
Same symptoms experienced on unit with last public release software version.
Barry
ModeratorCheck to see if your apps have latest updates to start with.
Mine have 12 March as latest.
I have already highlighted this issue to Humax.
Barry
ModeratorWill be closing this thread tomorrow and opening new one as an update is on the way, dated 17 March.

Unless I have misunderstood how it is supposed to work, the sort “By my favourites” doesn’t work. I have sorted a favourite list so that the channels are not in numerical order (where the numbers referred to being,e.g. 101 for BBC One HD), but the guide shows the channels for that favourite list in numerical order even though I have selected sort “By my favourites”.
Fixed in next Beta

Good afternoon, HDR-1000S owner here. Is there a location/page I can find the update, or do I need to ask Barry nicely? I’ve got a USB stick and I’m not afraid to use it!

I have a series record for Frasier on Ch4HD and the record icons are showing until Friday. There are none on Monday of next week and it is not in the Schedule, but my Panasonic Freeview Recorder is showing all the recordings this week and next week.
As each recording of Frasier finished this morning, a record icon appeared for next Monday! Is there a limit of 12 on the number of scheduled programmes in a series recording? There are three episodes of Frasier each weekday.
An interesting observation, having set the same timer as a test, all episodes up to and including next Monday appear in schedule, and have rec icon in guide…
Tues episodes do not appear in schedule and therefore no record icon.
Is it a limit or is it because next Tues is 8th day in guide?
Questions put to contact @ Humax Towers.
Edit: With thanks to Humax Towers for instant response…
There is a limit of 12, as one is removed another will be added.

Watching the schedule and guide this morning, indeed as one programme is recorded, another is added to schedule and rec icon appears in guide
