Whilst I agree with James in that you should contact Humax they might ask you to perform a Maintenance Mode reset which might be worth trying see this pdf for instructions:

After entering the 3 digit code, and TV switched off, did you then press the OK button to save the code?

2. Just tried all programmes you have mentioned on ITV & ITV HD using either/or OK/Rec button, with no issues at all.
3. The suggestion from Graham is probably your best option.

Instructions below, but have to ask why you want to do this?
Factory Default and HDD are in same menu so:
Press Settings button on remote
Then highlight System settings – press OK
Highlight Factory default – press OK
Reset system should be highlighted – press OK
Yes should be highlighted – press OK
Enter password (default password is 0000 (4 zero’s))
Continue will be highlighted press OK
Format HDD
Press Settings button on remote
Then highlight System settings – press OK
Highlight Storage – press OK
Highlight HDD – press OK
Highlight Start disk format – press OK
Enter pin as before
Continue should be highlighted – press OK
Disk will now format, and a processing message should appear on screen.
Never ne afraid to ask what you might think is obvious on here, we are a friendly bunch in the main.

It must have only had 1.00.17 – factory reset does not revert software versions.
1. 1.00.21 is latest publically released version.
2. Yes to incorporating all previous versions. No EPG issues that I am aware of.
3. Go ahead and upgrade nothing to be wary of.

Ok so first attempt at setting a recording while in standby and using 3G didn’t go so well.
Set to record Real Lives at 7:50 on BBC2 about 10 mins before start time and the box didn’t come on and start recording until 5 mins after start time. Checked recording and has missed the beginning.
Looks like I will be doing some experimenting to see how it performs throughout the day.
Ii think you find that the information is sent to the box once evey 15 minuites therefore this amout of time should be taken in to accout when using the app.
