We predominately offer help and advice on UK products, however…
You almost certainly could not upload the HDR T2 firmware anyway, you would need to locate an earlier firmware for your specific model that might fix the issue.
You could try an email to Humax support for your region:

Are you sure it is not turning on – the red led display hardly changes, although I find I can spot a slight difference in brightness, or is it a HDMI hand shake issue?
Try either switching TV input to another source then back to the 2000T or connecting via scart to identify where the problem lies.

Strange one this, does rewinding live TV work?
Suggestions:
1. Factory reset – though I do not think this will have any effect
2. HDD reformat.
However as it is brand new I would be more inclined to return to retailer for exchange.
Admin note: thread moved to 1010S area.

ModeratorA bit long winded on the 9300 however you can protect a timer from deletion by the following.
Menu, Record, Recorded Programme
Highlight programme and press Yellow
Highlight File and press OK
Scroll up so Protect is highlighted and press OK, option should change to Enable, scroll down and highlight Save press OK
Programme is now protected, pin code is needed to release.

I heard that the chap that maintained the Humax beta site left, and no-one else has picked it up. Sounds like Humax don’t have a coordinated plan, it’s up to individual employees.
You heard wrong.

Not possible to transfer programmes with the HDR 1000/1010S units as yet.
Barry
ModeratorTransfer is not quick for sure.
Your ext HDD was probably already formatted as ntfs which the HDR 2000T can write to (earlier Humax units could only read ntfs not write to)

Thanks Barry,
That’s one questioned answered.
My question’s are a little muddled after reading them again.
Is the USB Port sufficient for a powering the external drive during copying and playing from.
Or should I have purchased a Hard Drive with its own power sauce.
I have a 1 TB WD passport usb 3.0 attached to rear usb on a 2000T, no problems so far.

You cannot record directly to the external HDD but certainly can copy off content already recorded and then playback.

ModeratorQuote:do you know if Humax intend to do anything about it Barry?Whilst they are aware, I have had no feedback on the issue recently – will chase up.
