ModeratorCan you access the on demand players?
Try resetting router, and 1010S.

Graham – I have looked through the menu but as you say there seems to be no option like this. I can say that the box is in its original condition and no hack or similar has been applied. I attach a photo showing the “Reserved Size” on the HD. I am certain that I was able to set the reserved size and it must have been an option at the time when I got the box more than a year or two ago. I used to have music uploaded on it. I have now tried several times to get rid of this but never managed.
Thanks
Martin
Those figures are correct for a newly formatted HDR 1000S 500GB version.

ModeratorAs Graham not aware of anyway to change partition sizes on freetime box, but did not address that, just wanted OP to confirm Foxsat….. will move anyway.
Edit later: Moved back to 1000S section as OP confirms that is the unit he is querying.

ModeratorI would have stuck with the 2000T – The speed with which you can ‘whizz’ around the menus/guide is enough to convince me to stick with it.
I cannot replicate your timers issue eg no problem setting tomorrow, BBC1 2000-2100 and itv 2000-2030 and 2030-2100, all as series record timers – If you would like to post an example I will try to replicate.
RF loopthru we have already covered, it should be fixed in the next release.
Internet problem – try just accessing the internet settings menu, and exit.
No HDMI sound problems connected to a Toshiba and Philips TV’s
DLNA server – just checked and unit appears on network whilst recording, however you cannot access a recording in progress on the 2000T, and I have full function of unit as expected.
Barry
ModeratorConfused – I am

I assume the discussion relates to a Foxsat HDR – in which case I’ll move this to correct area when confirmed by OP.
If Foxsat then the following should reset:
Menu
System
HDD Control
Format HDD – OK
Select both options – OK
Confirm action
Password – default is 0000
Move slider to required size(s) – OK

They seem to have removed the button that allowed you to access BBC Radio programmes. Can anyone advise me how to get the radio part of iPlayer?
They have indeed – scroll down to ‘where is radio’ in this link to BBC blog:

As REPASSAC has stated lots of user reviews of the HDR 1000S on Humax Direct, also check out Humax Youtube channel:

Not sure where you read those dates.
The loop thru problem has been resolved, and should be included in next update – no forecast as to when though.
Barry
ModeratorAccording to the FAQ in the link at # 1
‘Where possible, films will be streamed in HD. However, HD material is not always available and the quality of the stream is also dependent on customer’s bandwidth and available materials from the chosen film’s distributors’
No mention of 5.1 in the FAQ.

I now rip my DVDs to USB and copy them on to the hard drive of the 1010s. As I own the said DVDs, I am allowed by law to make personal copies and would have done anyway.
As I understand it – and stand to be corrected as I am no legal expert.
No you are not, well not until 1st June, but there are still restrictions….
If a DVD contains copy protection then it will still be illegal to remove that protection, but if said copy protection is too restrictive, consumers can raise a complaint with the Secretary of State.

ModeratorThat’s strange Graham, a WD passport 1TB USB3 works fine using front port on one of my units?
Barry
ModeratorHi Jim, Welcome to our Forum

Portable HDD – I have long term tested WD passport up to and incl 1TB, and a Seagate Freeeagent 250 GB without issue.
Currently testing a Seagate Slim 500GB – might be some issues with that one – not always recognised when unit boots.
