    According to the manual (if I am reading the right one) there is a simplink button on the remote, pressing this should display a menu on TV, using <> I to toggle function on/off and press ok to save.

    Off topic, and just tested so I know it is working.

    If you enter an incorrect password, an option to recover same is offered, if accepted an email is sent to registered address we have with a link to rest password, if used a new password is generated and sent to member.

    Don’t think you will find the 300Mbps dongle on retail sale as a stand alone item as yet, only as a bundle with the 2000T 1TB unit.

    You only need software if you purchase and intend to use the 300mb dongle, power line would be a better solution.

    If you purchase the 300 dongle then post again and I will, if not publically released by then, oblige.

    Panasonic introduced freeview freetime into some TV’s last year, I have a 32inch bought in late Apr.

    Very strange set of circumstances.

    I have a Philips TV that used to default CEC to on, I had to disable, enable, disable to finally stop it controlling connected devices. Has not done it for a while so hopefully fixed.

    If you disconnect HDMI cable from TV do you then regain control of the unit using it’s remote?

    Does disabling Simlink affect all HDMI inputs or can it be set for each one individually.

    Try another HDMI input?

    Pity I was hoping that would work.

    Call Humax support to log the issue, not sure you will get any joy exchanging the unit but worth a try.

    Check your PM’s (private messages top right of forum) for link to software version you need.

    If possible can you let me know serial number of unit so I can pass onto Humax Towers for further investigation(s) as to why correct software was not on board.
