Well spotted Graham! Although, I have noticed over the years that Humax products released in other countries don’t seem to have equivalents here in the UK.

I would love a new Freesat+ PVR from Humax though… I wonder of Barry has any news on this front..?

I work with computer systems and the abbreviation of the ‘byte’ unit still confuses me! And now there is a convention for ‘real bytes’ with the KiB, MiB, etc…

The fact of the matter is that hard disk manufacturers have always (and will) used ‘Mega’, ‘Giga’ and ‘Tera’, etc. to denote multiples of 1000 ‘bytes’ for their storage devices they make.

Whereas, everyone else (operating systems, etc) with use these to denote multiples of 1024 ‘bytes’. This is where the discrepancy comes in… and confuses anyone who calculates disk space usage with reference to the ‘size’ of their hard disk drives!

Yes, and I’ve also noticed Graham’s username does not fit and overlaps the post text box!

(Must be some sort of scripting issue that is messing up the page! I bet this is going to give super-admin a headache :D ;) )

    IE8 – Try a page refresh?

Nope. But at least the smilies panel over lays the buttons (sometimes!!!!)

Although IE does report errors on the page…

Maybe we can get Raydon to document and upload his programs here. Need to get super-admin to get a move on with the wiki area! ;)

I need to wait for super-admin to set up the Wiki pages first! ;)

Maybe I should blog this first and wiki it later…

OK. Might be able to mess about with this more tomorrow. Will fix the real server next week and make a domain name registration…

    Good night!
