I’ve just installed the telnet package from this media bundle and I am getting a double command line:

    Code:
    ~ $ ls
bin etc lib mnt proc sbin sys usr
dev home media opt root share tmp var
    ~ $
    ~ $ cat /proc/version
    Linux version 2.6.12-4.2-brcmstb (ohs@vanilla) (gcc version 3.4.6) #1 Wed Dec 8 10:20:47 KST 2010
    ~ $
    ~ $

Does anyone know why? (Is this how it behaves?) I am using putty as the client app. Is dropbear-ssh available for the FOXSAT-HDR?

At least give credit to ‘Barry’ if you are unable to post a link to this forum! There’s only one Barry so other forum users should know ;)

    Nice one Barry!

It’s about time this box had a look in… (But is there any point me asking about further development on this box..?)

I was going to blog instructions to install raydon’s media & file bundle, but someone’s already done it. So why repeat the work when I can just post a link ;)

It’s not the ‘i7’ character – is it?

You can rename using ‘*name’, e.g. ‘sudo mv *wedding.ts wedding.ts’ (using ubuntu).

In your case ‘sudo mv *Royal Wedding.ts Royal Wedding.ts’.

Thanks for the post! Is the silver 9200T more prone to this problem than the black one – does anyone know? I’m just wondering if Humax improved or replaced the component when they revised and released the 9200TB…

So instead of watching The Wedding, I’ve been trying to make eLinker work on Windows 7 64-bit. Unfortunately, no success :(

The USB driver for the Humax PVR mass storage device can’t be made to work (actually won’t install!) on the 64-bit version of Windows 7 – but will happily work on the 32-bit – even with Windows 7 the driver signing verification switched off.

The good news is that Media Controller (GUI) will work with Windows 7 64-bit, which uses the libusb-win32 driver which will install.

A blog post will follow this soon!

Sorry for the late reply… I have been trying my hardest to find another DLNA client application, but have not had much luck – except now…

I think CyberLink’s SoftDMA 2 is a DLNA client (you can download a trial version to try out, I think).

Most clients are hardware based, and I have an XBOX 360 that I will try out to see Raydon’s hacked FOXSAT-HDR with Twonky server works when I have some time…
