I have had a PVR9300T for a few years and was using a SCART lead to my Sony TV. The picture quality suddenly reduced considerably so I’ve now changed to an HDMI lead which fixed the picture but I have lost some functions:
The most likely explanations for the picture quality change would be either the SCART connector at one or the other working loose or the settings for the SCART output changing; have a look under Preferences>A/V Control>TV-SCART and try each of the three options.
1. clicking on a upcoming programme on the guide produces a reservation but doesn’t subsequently record. (I do now have a new “schedule” button on the menu that does work). The record now button also works ok.
Sorry I don’t understand what has happened maybe a 9300T user has some suggestions.
2. the volume control on the Humax remote shows the volume bar on the tv, but does not modulate the volume. (The “mute” button does work). So we can only now change the volume using the TV remote.
Again a 9300T user might make a more informed comment but I don’t find that surprising; I don’t think another cable would help.

The host address is the Humax – you need to install Samba via the web interface and reboot.
Why? Won’t Filezilla do the job?
Graham has also remined me that non freesat names are odd. Think they may start with a dot which would hide them.
Filezilla show file names with a leading dot for me.

I downloaded and installed Filezilla, but when I tried to connect to ftp://192.168.1.103 which is the address that Raydon’s explorer uses with http://, it says connection was refused. Filezilla added a port 21 I think – could this be relevant?
What login credentials did you use?
Should I try Filezilla on Linux instead of Windows?
FTP should be cross platform so I doubt that it would help.

I have done the 3 recording test on both Aura and 4000T. There seems to be a real problem for me with the Aura on the SD channels particularly on COM6 ArqB Mux (channels 25 and 26 Yesterday etc). The signal quality is low and fluctuating
Interesting. However on the Aura Tuner 3 appears to be receiving from a different frequency than the FVP-4000T so difficult to compare.

Manual tuning is not complicated.
Not for you or I maybe, but the average user?
Plenty of average users have performed manual tuning; I think it is quicker than automatic tuning once you understand it. However I do accept that manual tuning should not be necessary for all but the unusual cases.

Some are reporting issues with pixelation on DVB-T SD content when using multiple tuners.
Would recording 3 channels from the same multiplex require more than one tuner?

I have now fitted a signal booster, and the channel 55 HD channels have all appeared. A tune immediately before fitting the booster found none of them.
The signal remained at 100% with and without the booster, but with the booster the quality of signal which was 0% without the booster now fluctuates between 0 and 34%, it spends most of its time at 0%.
Interesting. I am really puzzled by the very low signal quality figures. Are these the figures reported by the Aura? Does anyone else see anything usable with such low signal quality? This may be seen as rude, but are you certain that you are not transposing the strength and quality figures values?

ParticipantI bought an RM-L08 from https://www.remote-controls-shop.co.uk/catalogue/humax/fvp5000t/ (the original rather than the cheaper replacement option) and as far as I can tell it is a genuine Humax remote.

Please give us a clue; what make and model of TV?

Stil fluctuating! I have been in touch with Humax but no answer on this yet. Also the Aura app won’t accept the ref code on my iPhone! Might be going back to shop
My reading of the release notes for the latest Beta test software is that there are changes which may help you when the software is finally released.

I was hesitant to ty it because NTFS is a windows format and I swear my manual doesn’t mention the formats as quoted above.
In my manual is it on page 16 headed “Media via USB/Hard drive”; first note in the section headed “Playing files from storage devices”.

Tried the “square” option. Worked 4 out of 4!
I think the “square” is more accurately called the “stop” button (according to the user manual). I did some experiments on the best button to use some time ago and came to the conclusion that none of them are 100% reliable for taking you back to where you can delete it. The stop button seemed to be a bit better than the other candidates.

The photo was posted in an attempt to confirm that I was using the correct type and grade of attenuator.
There are many posts about tuning issues, and an equal number claiming that an attenuator will fix the problem. In my case it did not so I was asking if it was the correct specification.
As far as I can see the attenuator should be OK. It remains true that on earlier Humax boxes using an attenuator does help in locations with high signal strength; sadly they appear less helpful on the Aura boxes. I did at least attempt to offer a solution. There was a case a few weeks ago when this sort of problem was traced to a faulty amplifier in the aerial cabling. Any amplifiers in your setup?

Hi everyone
Never had one of these before PSV 9300T but have no instruction Manual and finding remote difficult to fathom
Have searched for instructions but to no avail
Please could you confirm if it really is a PSV 9300T or a PVR 9300T?

So lowering the signal can increase the quality, by reducing the errors caused by “too high” a signal then.
A fair number of people have used this method to improve picture quality. I think the method is more applicable to the earlier Humax boxes which seem to have more sensitive tuners (and hence more likely to overload) but there have certainly been some reports from Aura users where an attenuator has helped.
I have to say I’m sceptical but I will connect my attenuator and give it a go.
Let us know how you get on.
