What I’ve been trying to do for the past two days is to use FTP to copy video files (.mp4 and .ts) from my laptop to the Aura. I have currently tried the FTP clients FileZilla and WinSCP. The results were identical.

Which folder on the Aura are you trying to transfer them to?

Does the remote have a designation (usually starting RM-???)?

Ive got an 1800t. It won’t pause either on live TV or playback.

I’ve updated the software and formatted the HD. Still won’t pause. The button on the remote works as it lights up the pvr button.

Are you using the original remote for the 1800T or a replacement?

I have yet not tried a different boot loader. Can someone provide a download link to the alternative Bootloaders? I am using the latest custom firmware with a7.30 bootloader. I believe that this is quite an early one and would like to try a more recent version.

I am not convinced that changing the bootloader will make any difference (there were some early reports of success) but more recent attempts have not resolved the problem. I think I have a full set of the bootloaders. If you send me a PM I’ll send you a link to download them.

I have the following issues with recording from BBC Four, these issues do not happen all the time and there is no set pattern the issues just happen these issues only happen when recording from BBC four, when recording from BBC Four and play back the recording at the start of the recording the following message appears at the top of the screen recording failed due broadcast not broadcast on time and then the message disappear and I carry on watching the recording.

I have seen that behaviour; I think it is harmless and you just have to ignore it because there is nothing that you can do about it.

The other issue I face when watching back recordings the recording starts but no picture appears on the screen get sound but the time of the recording is showing 000.

Are those recordings from BBC Four or other channels? How often does it happen?

Finally! That has worked and I can now see the Aura under My PC. Am I right in thinking I can only transfer files into one of the ‘Folder’ subfolders (Movies, Music, Pictures)?

If we are talking about the DLNA functionality provided by the Network Server then my understanding is that is an alternative way of playing/getting content off the Aura but not a way of transferring files onto the Aura.

I would prefer to use my TP-Link extender which is located about 1m from the Aura and produces an excellent signal level.

TP-Link provide quite a lot of WiFi extenders; which model do you have?

    Yes it is.

OK so something on your network is stopping DLNA. What make and model of router do you have? Is UPnP enabled on the router?

It’s a BT Smart Hub 2. UPnp is On, as is Extended UPnP Security.

I think we have seen this problem before. Try turning off Extended UPnP security.

I have a problem with the Humax Aura I bought about 2/3 weeks ago and I too am getting the email run around from Humax UK:-

The Sales@ email address is unmonitored; emails were being rejected because a mailbox somewhere in Humax was full (that stopped about a week ago) and multiple emails to UKSuppore@ are just being plain ignored (for over a week now.)

Perhaps do it the old fashioned way and ring them up 0344 318 8800.

The only 2 options in settings are sterio or dolby digital.

So have you tried the stereo option?

Hi My box is the HDR FOX T2. I have an audio problem only, there is not any other problems with the box egarding viewing or recording/playback.

Thanks; you have posted in the wrong section of the Forum. Can I repeat my question above “Is it HD or SD content you are trying to play?” (they use different audio encoding). Have you looked in Settings> Preferences> Audio and tried changing the settings?

Admin edit: moved to correct area.

Nothing I have tried will convince Windows 10 File Explorer to show the Aura in the Network settings.

You didn’t answer my question above that said “In Settings, under “Record and Share” do you have the “Network server (DLNA/UPnP)” turned on?”.

Hi I am a newbie on this forum. I have a FOXT2 box which I used at my caravan on a Panasonic TV. Whilst at the van I had the box connected via a digital optical lead to a soundbar. I now have it at home connected to a Sony TV but cannot get any audio with the box connected with a HDMI lead but if I connect to the sounbar again I do get audio.I have reset the box and tried another lead but no difference.

Can I clarify please; do have an HD FOX-T2 (which uses an external drive to record) or and HDR-FOX T2. Is it HD or SD content you are trying to play?

Because if the OK button is set to present the record etc options, its pointless having the i button replicating them, it would be far more useful to display the full information (with just one press) for the programme instead of just the first few lines.

I don’t feel strongly about this; I quite like the convenience of being able to set the recording without returning to the guide. There was a time when Humax were accepting user requests for user interface changes but I suspect this has long gone.
