I used the Amazon App OK last night and it worked without a hitch.

Did you try to buy any content?

Could this just be the old SATA cable, and if so, does anybody know a UK based retailer that sells replacements? The power side don’t seem to be the standard type at all.

Are you aware that there is a well known problem believed to be due to degradation of a component on the motherboard that makes the hard drive inaccessible? A classic symptom of this problem is that initially comes and goes but usually gets worse and the box stops recording all together. The only known fix is to send it to Digirepairs.co.uk who will do a fixed price repair.

Is there any way to move them into the existing folder?

It isn’t an actual folder and as far as I know there is no current way to add programmes to a virtual folder.

Problem eventually sorted after much head scratching, despite apparently having my very own stalker

For future reference, could you tell us what the problem was please?

So i have a meagre amount of channels, but the T2 has no audio on any of the channels that’s left

If you have a picture you should be able to get audio. How is the Humax connected to the TV (HDMI, SCART, …)? I take it you have tried turning up the audio on the HDR-FOX T2 remote and checked that the sound hasn’t been muted?

Was it a update to improve the system or just a security patch.

It was a fix for various problems with BBC iPlayer on the HDR-FOX T2.

It is true that the amount of support for any product is always limited and that is not just Humax, Sony, Samsung and LG and the rest rarely support a model more than 2 years regardless if there is still on going problems that still need rectifying,

There have been a recent example of Humax providing a new software release for an 11 year old product but I agree that the Aura has issues many of which would not be difficult to fix.

It seems to me they need to get better software writers.

My view is that the problem is not with the software developers but with the amount of development time Humax are prepared to allocate for a particular box.

The problem arises when I go to use the AUX button. It does enter the TV AUX settings so I can change to the other devices I have by continually pressing AUX to highlight the next device but pressing the ‘OK’ button to select and exit does nothing. I have to get the TV remote out and press ‘OK’ to exit auxillary.

Have you tried all the LG codes? Just possibly one of the others might work better.

You don’t press the OK button to select the input you have moved to (highlighted) , you just stop pressing and the TV will swap to that input.

That doesn’t work on my LG TV but the OK button does work.

I am not an expert on amps but have you considered using the SPDIF Optical Audio port to connect the Aura to the amp?

Maybe it needs to power down and be switched back on a few times before trying to re-program?

In this case it was a problem with the broadcast metadata and no amount of powering down would have any effect until the broadcaster fixed the issue at their end. I agree that powering down can be useful when the box gets itself into an odd state.

I have just removed Tunefix and restored from a save I made after my last retune from factory default. The same issues persist.

    I would try another retune.

Yes I do. I have just removed Tunefix and restored from a save I made after my last retune from factory default. The same issues persist. At this moment I am loathed to do another factory reset as it takes me nearly an hour to restore all my settings.

Pop over to hummy.tv and ask your question there because the tunefix expert is most likely to respond in the custom firmware section.
