Thanks for all replies.
Martin, how do I know whether I have tuned to the correct HD Mux?
I am using channel numbers 0844 etc.
That is definitely wrong. You need to do a manual tune. Instructions are at http://myhumax.org/forum/topic/transmitters#post-2336

I live in the SW of England and I purchased the above equipment this week but getting poor receiption on the HD channels. The screen breaks up slightly (1 second intermittantly).
Have you checked that you are tuned to the correct HD Mux? What is the signal strength and quality on the affected channels?

I have had my Humax product now less than 5 days and not only are several of the features not working, the box froze last night!!
Have you tried the latest beta software released recently which is intended to address freezing problems? Which features are not working?

When I select PVR function on the remote, the button just goes red, it will not even allow me to swith the power on.
Look carefully at the remote; is there a button stuck down? If so free it. If not telephone (not email) Humax support and discuss the problem with them.; I think there is a good chance they will send you a new remote.

I have realised that if photographs have been rotated, once I have stored them on my PC, before copying it to the Humax, these are the files that are then skipped (not shown) when played back in sequence.
What software are you using to rotate the photographs?

As nothing else has worked so far, I am going to try and last thing – re-scan with no aerial plugged in using a factory reset and then see if the channels reload when the aerial is plugged back in again.
Just stop the automatic scan as soon as it starts and save the results; this will give you the nice blank list of channels that is the required starting point for a manual scan.

I have a HDR-FOX T2 and
I have lost certain channels, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 13, 14, and a few more, have done an auto search but still have not found the missing channels. Any idea what’s wrong?
Do you have channels numbered 800 and above? If so you need to do a manual tune to get a consistent set of channels from a single transmitter, see Link to tuning notes

Does nobody from Humax read these posts and reply to them?
Humax may read them but don’t usually respond here. The nearest you will get is posts from Barry who has very good contacts at Humax and often has advance information.

I think it was all down to the Liverpool match going on & on & on due to extra time then penalties.
Yes of course but the point at issue is that it is exactly the situation that accurate recording is designed to cope with. However it does require the broadacster to make appropriate changes to the relevant metadata which, on some platforms, they appear to have failed to do.

Not sure this is much help to you Graham, but it looks like the BBC stuffed up the running status changes…
Interestingly our Freeview HDR appears to have recorded it perfectly in SD but SWMBO tells me rather angrily that the 9200 at our holiday home failed to record it.

I assume this is on the HD models then as I’ve never come across a problem on the SD models.
I think the worst problem is with the FOXSAT but somebody else can confirm.

Those pesky random software updates.
Subtitles aren’t normally ON by default though so I guess you’ve switched them on by mistake at some point. 😉There are known bugs on some models that will display sub titles without user intervention but as we don’t know the model we can only speculate.

I cannot find the option that removes this ‘subtitles for the deaf’. Can anyone provide an insight, please?
You haven’t said which Humax box you own but the display of subtitles is controlled by a button on the remote control.

I wonder if anyone else has any thoughts?
I think the chances of it happening for the current box are relatively small; it is a relatively old design and I would have expected a new model before too long.
