My 9150 appears to have lost all its recordings overnight. Any chance that they may be recovered? If all is lost should I reformat the disc.?
If you are prepared to open the Humax and connect the hard drive to a PC then the recordings can be downloaded using humaxrw in recovery mode. Either way you will ultimately need to format the disk.

I’ve previously successfully transferred files via USB but presumably they are decryted in this process as I haven’t had a problem playing the files on a variety of devices.
SD recordings will be decrypted but not HD recordings.

Anyone else having problems playing YouTube videos from the TV Portal on the HD-Fox T2?
What version of the Humax software is your box using?

However just recorded new program last night and that worked fine. Old recordings still appear in program list but cannot now play them. Free space is now reporting size without old recordings although there are still listed.
This is a known issue with humaxrw and the 9150/9300; it works fine with the 9200. The author of humaxrw, xyz321, has indicated that he would be prepared to investigate the problem if a 9150/9300 user would assist. If you want to help, try sending a Private Message to xyz321 to see if he is still prepared to fix this.

The primary reason I’m sniffing around the T1000 is the catch-up TV functionality – my Sony TV and BD have BBC and 5 but little else and it would be great to have all in a nice package, unlike the Sony apps which are woeful – does the HDR-FOX T2 have that?
If you want TV catch up functionality then the T1000 is currently the box to get; the HDR-FOX T2 only has BBC iPlayer. If you want the better PVR then the HDR-FOX T2 is the box to get. The other possibility if you are not desperate to buy at this instant is the HDR-T2000 that is known to be in the works but very little is known at the moment about its exact specification but I would guess that it will be an improved HDR-FOX T2 and maybe the improvements could include more catch up services.

My PVR 9200T has stopped giving me the series link option. Can anyone please offer me some helpful advice?
Have you set pre or post padding (this will disable series link)? Menu>Record>Recording Start Time/End Time both need to be set to “On time” for Series Link to work.

so I’m thinking of switching to a T1000.
Personally I would suggest the Humax HDR-FOX T2 as a better option; that will certainly play .ts files from the 9200 without problem. If you use the custom firmware for the HDR and place the Humax disk in a USB caddy it is even feasible to copy direct from the Humax disk to the HDR.

I have a HuMax will not open for T2 channels it says I do not have access to this channel even though I have it.
Which model of Humax PVR do you have? Can you give an example of what you mean by a T2 channel?

ParticipantTry this thread from hummy.tv Hummy.tv link and in particular the posts from user “Border”. I think you will have to use padding (ie Menu>Settings>Preferences>Recording and set Start Padding Time and/or EndPadding Time to a non zero value).

ParticipantAgreed that the HDR=FOX T2 is a very decent box. The only other option I would consider if you are not going to buy immediately is HDR-2000T which is in the works but not available yet but we don’t know enough to comment on whether or not it is a better bet.

Both the .hre & .elu files exist in the recovery directory already.
I only see a single hre file; there should be one for each ts file. I would delete the single hre file and then run ts2hrw

Searched for the problem and this forum came up. Seems like it happens a lot.
I think it is a common problem but Barry doesn’t.
It found 23 programs (file 1 said BUFFER – not sure what that means,
I think it is probably the the buffer used for time shifting (ie if you pause or rewind a live program).
When I ran the following command: “HumaxRW 4: -p *.ts” I got a warning something like (sorry can’t remember exactly) “Recording file empty – this could corrupt your humax disk – Continue [no]”.
Because the recording list was blank you had to run in recovery mode and no .hre files are copied from the disk. I think you need to run the little utility that comes with humaxrw called ts2hrw to recreate .hre files. cd to the directory with the .ts files and type:
ts2hrw *.ts.
After that you should be able to put things back on the drive.

Ah O.K.Barry so, if I’m understanding correctly, the new units are supplied with 1.03.06 and Loader 7.34 but there could be a problem if, when downgrading to say 1.02.32, loader 7.32 is also installed, because the new units need to retain loader 7.34
But our box was updated to 1.02.32 using the download from the Humax Beta web site and is still on Loader 7.30 so I don’t think the loader is included.

We’ve been experiencing problems where the programmes on some channels seem to be stopping and starting and clicking, and going pixelated. We’re not sure if this is a problem with the Humax box or possibly the aerial.
What is the signal strength and quality reported by the Humax when this is happening?
