Hi l have a 5000t. The picture keeps pausing/ hesitating, then will play normally. It will sometimes show no signal sign. The unusual thing is the box records perfectly.

Does the pausing occur only on specific channels? Is you box connected to the Internet?

That should be enough to make the TV happy that it has done the set up needed to allow you to then move on to switch to it using one of its SCART inputs.

Why would he need to do that when he has already played content from a VCR via SCART on the TV?

Note to OP you haven’t answered my questions in post #10?

I pulled out the scart plug from the Humax and put it in the CD player.

OK so are you able to record on the Humax? If so what happens if you plug the SCART cable back into the Humax and try to display content from the Humax on the TV?

There are also posts reporting that any disk you install needs to be backwards compatible with first generation SATA controllers which may limit your choice.

I am not sure that it limits the choice but for drives that are not SATA 1 it will mean learning how to limit the drive to SATA 1; some use a special software utility others use jumpers.

This is a corporate network, so cannot change the SSID or password/key – hence the question.

You could work around the problem by using a WiFi to ethernet bridge such as a TP LINK TL-WA855RE

On second thoughts, it depends where you see the “play from start”. If it pops up on the live TV – you could end up streaming. If it is from the recordings list then it should play the recording.

I have never seen it do anything other than play the recording if it is in the list of recordings.

The ‘Watch’ timer appears to only be available in the Guide and therefore is tied to a specific programme (which may not be available every day).

Go into the Schedule of future recordings, the first entry is to add a new recording. If you select this you can then set a channel, start time date, and duration and which days of the week the recording is to be made.

I can also see that it is recording (or at least the LED changes color when it was scheduled to).

There are a few other ports on the back but I don’t know if any can be used as video output?

The title of the thread says no HD output; do SD channels work? I would try resetting the Aura and if that fails try to connect it to a different TV so you can rule out the problem being with the TV.

As this is the freeview app, does it mean when I connected to the hotspot, it was the FREEVIEW app that automatically updated, and not HUMAX ?

My understanding is that the Freeview app is from Humax.

It is a FVP-500T. Yes, signal strength is good and was retuned recently. Again, when opening the guide, one or two programs appear but mostly “no information “.

Please could a moderator move this thread to the correct section. (Admin Edit: Done)

The problem you are describing has been reported by significant number of users. The workaround is to delete a significant number of channels that are of no interest to you.

Is anyone else getting “No information ” error on the guide? Unable to set recordings as programmes don’t appear?

Which model of Humax PVR do you have please?

where did you get this from Martin ? From the Humax site ?

The instructions came from Humax support to a member of this site who published them in a thread here.

If it comes to this, I’ll do it, but I’ll have to use my phone and hotspot, unless there’s another way.

I am not aware of another way of doing it.
