I doubt the 5000T has the built in option to export recordings.

On an FVP-5000T you can transfer SD recordings and remove encryption over the network to a Windows 8 or later computer and then copy the recordings to anywhere you like.

There is something odd about those numbers which I am afraid I don’t understand. I don’t think it is low signal strength and you definitely don’t need a booster. If you enter your postcode and house number at this link https://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/problems-freeview-reception/#/Freeview it will show which direction your aerial should be pointing (the dotted green line) for the Oxford transmitter. Can you confirm whether your aerial is pointing in that direction?

i did notice that ch 106 bbc4hd is not in the guide list anymore

racing tc ch 261 still showing “channel not available” and did a quick sample of the others reported.

BBC4HD is supplied by the COM7 multiplex broadcast on UHF channel 55 which is showing 0 quality so not surprising you are not getting anything in the guide. If the aerial is pointing in the correct direction then I would suggest contacting a local aerial fitter for some advice.

i have now disconnected the booster box and only have the aerial cable from the wall going straight into the back of the Aura. Same as previous post – some channels not available including 261 racing tv which has always worked and bbc HD on 106.

Please could you post signal strength and quality figures without the booster?

I have an ageing Foxsat HDR and the WD 1TB drive i put in some years back is now showing errors. Debating whether to replace the HDD with another if I can obtain a suitable replacement (not easy these days) or should I take the plunge and buy the new FreeSat box?

All MUX channels are good, producing good reception and never dropping out, except C55. This channel shows a strength of 55-66% depending on the time of day (always 100% quality) but drops out to 0% (& 0%) quality every 5-10secs and alternates in and out. (It doesn’t fluctuate much, its either there or not). This means watching TV channels on that channel keeps freezing or saying no or weak signal.

The COM7HD mux carried on channel 55 is broadcast at lower power (about a quarter of the power of the other multiplexes). What does the Freeview coverage checker at https://www.freeview.co.uk/corporate/platform-management say about your predicted reception for channel 55? Have you considered whether your aerial is suitable for receiving channel 55?

I’ve got the attenuator fitted to the back of the aura. I’ve lowered signal strength to below 75% but keeping quality at 100%.

I would try working up rather than down; try say 50% signal strength, if that fixes the problem then try 55% and so on.

Please could you give an example of a recording that behaves in the way you describe? It isn’t normal for anything over an hour long to be split into two parts but if the broadcaster has transmitted it as a split recording then yes it will be two parts if using accurate recording. I think you could get it as one recording by manually setting the recording to span both parts.
