Great stuff Barry, and well done Humax for such a speedy fix !
And for custom firmware users, a new v4.0.8, based on the official 1.00.21 is available now for download from HERE
Now also available on Raydon’s Software page, here on MyHumax.Org!
Thanks Admins, can you please take down the v4.0.7 link as well please. It’s now been superceded and any install of this version will just be overwritten to standard 1.00.21 by the OTA.
Thanks again !
This is now done.

KeymasterOnce logged on, you can use this link to send a PM: http://myhumax.org/forum/pm.php?new=1
Make sure you pull down the list that starts with ‘001st Birthday’ and choose Barry.
We are about to replace the Private Messaging system with another, and hopefully a much easier to use one. Watch this space!

KeymasterI have not done anything.
I have just downloaded IE9 and am posting with this, and everything seems OK.

KeymasterAre you all still having problems? I’ve just installed Firefox 10.0.2 on my Mac and everything seems fine with the forum…

KeymasterAll three PVR-9xx0T models have a rear VCR SCART sockets. If your VCR can record from its SCART input, then connect up the Humax via this SCART socket and record.
You will have to have the Humax watching the channel you want to record or playback the recording you want to transfer to VCR tape.

KeymasterI think I will install a sidebar login which might solve this, if this random login strangeness is a problem.
It has happened to me as well but was not sure if it affected anyone else…

KeymasterTest – please ignore.

KeymasterI would recommend setting the FOXSAT-HDR a static IP address. You can manually stick in the router’s IP for the DNS resolver, and for each time the router or HDR is reset it has the same IP so you won’t need to remap.

KeymasterFroze again last night, after watching about 2 hours of a recorded movie. I must get to the bottom of this… I suspect it is the FOXSAT-HDR but no recording was kicked off this time…

KeymasterI was going to blog instructions to install raydon’s media & file bundle, but someone’s already done it. So why repeat the work when I can just post a link

KeymasterIf it’s a long set of instructions and descriptions, we would rather have it as a wiki entry. Do you want to be an ‘author’ on the wiki?
EDIT: By the way, if you are new and wonder what we are trying to achieve here, then read this article: http://idratherbewriting.com/2010/11/24/forum-wiki-blog-workflow/
(I’ve put this link on the front page now.)

KeymasterI’ll have a look at this, but are you saying it used to work with IE8 and now not with IE9, or it used to work with IE9 and now it doesn’t?

KeymasterSo, we can’t playback encrypted HD recordings…
So we just need a script to clear the buffer at the start of an enc HD recording, change channel to HD recording channel, copy buffer when recording ends…
@Raydon, can you make an install package for perl? (Also need cron, and a way of accessing the schedules…)

Actually, why can’t we just write our own recording scheduler?
